With some properties, there is already an existing wooden floor, which needs renovation.
Subject to our thorough overhaul of your existing floor, we can undertake the renovation of most old wooden floors. Our sanding
process starts with coarse grit, to remove the surface layer and we can also at this stage level and fill any gaps in the boards, or
make good any broken or rotten wood with the same type of wood. This will then expose the woods natural grain.
Once we have completed this, we gradually increase the fineness of the grit until a smooth finish is achieved. We then use a triple
disc rotational sander to produce a flawless finish. The final stage is the application of the seal. This will then capture the patina
of the natural floor and its characteristics whilst providing a durable and
stunning surface.
Our standard finish is Hard Wax Oil. We apply two coats by hand, to ensure
the floor has the maximum durability. We can of course offer the finish to suit
your requirements. |

A new home-without moving
A Real Wood floor can transform your home in a matter of days. Real Wood floors are our business. We are able to offer a complete design and bespoke wood floor service, as well as more typical solid wood floors, such as Oak, walnut etc. Our craftsmen are both skilled and experts in this field. They will prepare your property to ensure a perfect base for
your floor type, check the levels and check for structural soundness. We take the same amount of care when sourcing our
materials, to ensure that every customer is completely satisfied.
We offer free quotations, and will visit your property prior to quotations to discuss all of the options open to you. Most
importantly, we ensure that you have a written quotation for both the cost of the materials and the fitting, and any other products
necessary for the completion and maintenance of the work.
With most Real Wood floors, maintenance is minimal. The surface can be swept, hoovered, or lightly washed, waxed or
polished. This will retain the ‘good as new’ look for years to come.
